Firefly & Serenity on Blu-ray
December 20th, 2008The new Firefly box set has been released in Blu-Ray format with some exciting new extras including a new commentary on the episode Our Mrs. Reynolds and a “Firefly Reunion” with Joss Whedon, Nathan Fillion, Alan Tudyk & Ron Glass.
Serenity is due for release on Blu-Ray on Dec 30th and can be pre-ordered now.

The California Browncoats present the auction for the Jayne Hat worn during the Firefly episode “The Message” in support of Adam Baldiwn’s charity of choice Marine Corps - Law Enforcement Foundation. The auction will run until Oct-04-08 12:15:12 PDT and can be accessed via this ebay link. The hat will be mailed out to the auction winner by Adam Baldwin.
Firefly Cast at Dragon*Con
August 19th, 2008Dragon*Con is fast approaching, coming up August 29th over Labor Day weekend in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.
Alan Tudyk, Nathan Fillion, Morena Baccarin & Jewel Staite will all attend Dragon*Con later this month. Adam Baldwin had been announced previously though has had to cancel due to work committments.
If you’ve never been to Dragon*Con they have so many actors, artists, authors, musicians, lots of great panels, and a fun atmosphere with events that last long into the night. Make sure to check out the DragonCon homepage and the Whedonverse track page for additional updates.
Do yourself a favor and try to come into town at least the day before to experience concerts and pre-party fun. Plus, you’ll have a chance to see a little of the Atlanta and take in some interesting Civil War history at Kennesaw, a fantastic aquarium, the Coke museum, and more. That’s what I try to do every year.

Whedon’s Doctor Horrible Air Dates
June 28th, 2008Creator Joss Whedon has announced the “air” dates for Doctor Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog. The episodes will air on the official website drhorrible.com as follows:
- Part 1 - Tuesday July 15
- Part 2 - Thursday July 17
- Part 3 - Saturday July 19
These episodes will “air” online only until July 20.
Following that they will be made available for download at a “nominal fee” and in the near future available to buy on a very special DVD “with the finest and bravest extras in all the land”.
Now it’s time to spread the word far and wide to all the corners of the interweb. Grab some banners from the official site and post them everywhere you go - and be sure to cover those places people wouldn’t normally hear about this.
This is your chance to play a part in changing the face of the entertainment industry forever.

June 25th, 2008Chances are if you’re visiting this website it’s because you’re a fan of Serenity and therefore a fan of Nathan Fillion and Alan Tudyk. June 21st, 2008DoctorHorrible.net is saying that Joss & Nathan along with the rest of the cast & writers will be attending the San Diego Comic-Con in July. This has been confirmed by Joss Whedon at Whedonesque.
Doctor Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog will participate in a panel at Comic-Con International: San Diego
All three actors: Neil Patrick Harris, Felicia Day and Nathan Fillion will be present as will the writers: Joss Whedon, Jed Whedon, Zack Whedon & Maurissa Tancharoen.

Unique Firefly Model up for Auction

This site has images that you really must see full size to understand how much work has been put into this piece.
This is the scale model of Serenity that I built for the Toronto Can’t Stop The Serenity Screening that will be auctioned off on ebay. All proceeds will go to Equality Now. If you are not in Toronto there are screenings all over the world (CSTS).
It took me 2 years to scratch built the masters for this model. You can see the entire build progress here This is the TV version and measures over 12 inches long.
